helped teens earn over $700,000 in merit-based scholarships at last year's workshops! We also introduced
the new summer scholarship program for high school and college teens and handed out pamphlets for the
teens to earn their own scholarships. We will officially begin using the pamphlets this year to help our teens
earn scholarship money. THERE IS GUIDANCE FORTHCOMING ON HOW TO USE THEM ON THE
WEBSITE SOON. UNTIL THEN, JUST MAKE YOUR LIST OF NAMES & BUSINESSES that you want to

During the last two workshops of the school year, EP21 facilitated panel discussions with the parents of
college teens, at which college teens, fresh from college (some were high school seniors), shared their stories
with other teens about their experiences leading up to getting into college. Instead of paying consultants,
Betz says, “it was amazing how much teens learned from sharing with each other”. The teen’s various
experiences and levels of success in getting into college were a huge help for our future college students.
There may not be specific right or wrong answers provided, but Mr. Betz appreciated the teens' honesty about
experiences as they journeyed from high school to college. More importantly, they spoke from the heart as
they answered questions from Mr. Betz, parents, and teens about their experiences, frustrations, victories
and defeats regarding getting into college and paying for it. The teen video is coming soon!

arching goal was to have parents and teens leave the workshop more informed and better prepared to help
their own teens because of the words said by college teens who came out to share their experiences with
